About Our Program

All-Girl cheerleading at N.C. State University was created in January 2002, founded for females on campus who enjoyed competitive cheerleading. And wanted the privilege of putting our school's name on a uniform they would compete in. In addition to the competitive element, the club serves as a place for young women with similar interest to make new friends, stay in shape, and have fun. The club has lofty aspirations, which include winning National Championships in the All-Girl division of National Cheerleaders Association. (NCA)

Our program now boasts two competitive cheerleading teams. These athletes show their Wolfpack pride competing nationally against the best dance and cheerleading programs in the country at NCA nationals in Daytona Beach. In 2006 the team placed 1st runner up @ Daytona missing a national championship by only .05. The All-girl squad(s) competes in Daytona as well at other local competitions during their season, Along with the thrill of competing, the cheerleaders participate in countless events and community service projects through out the year. As we continue to establish our presence and fine-tune our organization, we look forward to stepping out on the competition floor and bringing home titles... accomplishments that have been years in the making.

  • Cheerleading is a very physical sport. Strength training and conditioning will be included in practices as a regular workout.
  • Cheerleaders are also expected to lift weights, run, do sit-ups, etc. on their own time. You will also be conditioned at practice.
  • Cheerleaders will be responsible for paying for bloomers, shoes, bodysuits, warm-up suits, fees etc. There will be opportunities to fund raise to help cover the costs of these expenses.
  • Cheerleading is also very time-consuming. Cheerleaders must be able to balance practice, games, tumbling, and schoolwork efficiently
  • Cheerleaders are expected to come to practice with a positive attitude and a willingness to work.
